E-invoices already arrive as structured data; the real problem is paper receipts, scanned contracts and hand-filled forms. Document Reading reads these from an image and automatically maps the relevant fields — amount, date, supplier, line items. It's used to read an attached invoice in Approval Process Management, a hand-written order form in the Dealer Ordering System, or a contract attachment in Helpdesk Support Automation.

E-invoices already arrive in structured XML and don't need OCR; this module mainly adds value for paper, PDF and scanned documents.
